Look what I did!

That's right world, I cut my hair... REAL SHORT. Like, above the shoulder short! I am incredibly happy with it! Tammy is wonderful and I owe her for restoring my faith in short hair, hehe :) We put a little bit of blonde in there too ;] I've come to realize that now that I have short hair, I have to style it every morning LOL. I have really really thin hair, so if there isn't any product in it, it'll fall flat and hug my face so I have to give it some extra lovin' but it's okay... I love it!

Happy Pappy Krislam :)

Today I am happy because...

I recently made a lifestyle change and while it's only bee a week, I already feel so great and I'm excited for my hard work to *crosses fingers* hopefully show. I'm keeping my progress on the DL until I have something to show for it, but I am happy because I feel healthier and so self motivated for this new lifestyle. I love it. I love it. 

I also saw my family this weekend and spent some QT with them... 

My best friend is also (what it seems like) turning a new leaf and hopefully pursuing his dreams without fear...

And, I love my boyfriend so damn much. That or I just miss his face... Whichever. 

Ultimately, I'm learning to love myself again and... well, I love it :) 

And as far as my design dream, it's still within reach, just definitely taking it a little bit slower so I don't burn myself out. I have two little side projects I'm doing for myself and working on those as diligently as I can without becoming a huge self-critique monster and shutting it down. 

Things are good...

One day, I will write a book.

I'm not a writer, but I do have a story. 

I was inspired by Austin Kleon's "Steal Like An Artist" & "Show Your Work!" as a way to write about my story as a creative. I love that he isn't textbook-y and just down to earth and just up front with you. My goal, in the near future, or possibly far future (cause I still have a long way to go) is to speak to aspiring designers such as myself and tell them that "It's going to be okay." I'll talk about my trials and tribulations as well as my what I call "my little successes". Why I'm not so pressed to do it now is because I still have a lot to learn and I want to make sure when I give back to my fellow designers that I have plenty to report on. 

This should be fun and I'm excited to share my story to the world. I suppose this means I should make it exciting, no? :)
